Porous Silica-Based Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Catalysts: A Review

چکیده
Hybrid organic-inorganic catalysts have been extensively investigated by several research groups in the last decades, as they allow combining structural robust-ness of inorganic solids with versatility organic chemistry. Within field hybrid catalysts, synthetic strategies based on silica are among most exploitable, due to convenience sol-gel chemistry, array silyl-derivative precursors that can be synthesized and number post-synthetic functionalization available, amongst others. This review proposes highlight these advantages, firstly describing common tools chemistry behind syntheses then presenting exemplificative studies involving mono- multi-functional silica-based featuring different types active sites (acid, base, redox). Materials obtained through approaches described their properties, well catalytic performances, compared. The general scope this is gather useful information for those approaching synthesis materials, while providing an overview state-of-the art such materials highlighting capacities.
